Hawaii!!!!

Hawaii was amazing! This years Thanksgiving was definitely the best Thanksgiving ever! I pretty much loved it and made sure I applied for BYU-Hawaii for a semester! haha.

My favorite day was when we went to the Temple and then to the PCC (Polynesian Culture Center). It was so fun, and it wasn't even that hot! We watched a parade of boats while people danced on them. We all go Polynesian tatoos. Oh, which brings up a story. When Donelle, Brittany, Kelsey, Krista and I went to go get a tatoo, the guy doing it was such a grump. He barely said a word and he was so mean! I thought island people were friendly! After that, we had a boat tour (picture). There were these bridges all along the "river" and they told us to duck but we really didn't need to. Then there was this really, really small one where everyone had to duck EXCEPT for me! It was awesome. I felt good to be short. Later that night we went to a show at the PCC. It was very enlightening. Oh, I wish I could Hula! I'm going to try someday.

Aside from the PCC, there was this one spot that we somehow kept traveling back to. It's a little bakery on the side of the road called "Leonards". And the reason we kept going back is because of the sweet little tastes of heaven....MALASADAS!!!! They were so dilicious. They were like scones but doughnuts at the same time! They were sooooo GOOOD!!! And you could but some kind of filling in them. There was custard, chocolate and pumpkin. You could get them with just cinnamon and surgar on the outside. Oh! I love them soooo much! They were one of the top three things in Hawaii!!

Alejandro

So I was really excited to take a plastic baby home for Child Development.....but then I lost most hours of my sleep! As we speak, I am still caring for my plastic Hispanic baby, Alejandro! Named after an awesome person, Alejandro is a fun little element of my life. He came to me during lunch on Thursday and I will have him until lunch on Monday. So far, it's been an adventure. Thursday night, I had to take Alejandro to a service project. I felt bad because I began leaving every time Alejandro made a sound. That night, I only got four hours of sleep. Every time I laid my head back down, he would make another sound. Ahhh!
Friday was fun! He cried during a test for first period. I was grateful he didn't cry at all in second period. However, in third period, he would not stop crying. My thanks to Macy, Jessica and Steven for helping me out so I could relax a little. Same thing for Seminary for fourth period. Brother Hawkes said I could try to sleep during the movie, so Erika and Natalie took care of Alejandro for me. Later on Friday was Sadies! Yeah, you can imagine how that went! It was way fun, and Alejandro only cried once or twice (until quiet time).
The next day I was sick so it was way easy to take care of him. I just laid there watching TV and if he'd cry, I would sit up and take care of him and then go back to sleep. Haha.
Today was death! Que Verguenza! He cried during sacrament and then during the chior performance. I had to duck down and change his diaper while the men were singing. Alot of people were confused while alot of people thought it was the funniest thing ever! I on the other hand felt like there was too much spotlight on one person! =)
It's all good though!
